Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we handles information in Weekly Mirror. By using the App, you acknowledge this Policy.

Information we collect

We collect only information needed to operate the App:

• Account information: name if provided, email address, and sign-in method (email or Google).
• Profile information: display name and, for Google Sign-In, profile picture.
• Your content: journal entries, daily memories, photos you upload or choose to capture, optional captions, and weekly AI-generated editions.
• Service information: device information needed for functionality, push notification token, and subscription, trial, and purchase status.

We do not intentionally collect contacts, SMS, call history, precise location, microphone recordings, clipboard contents, browsing history, or background activity unrelated to the App. Camera access is used only when you choose to capture a photo.

How we use information

We use your memories and journal entries solely to let you access, organize, synchronize, preserve, and reflect on your own journal. Photos are stored only to show them back to you and, where applicable, include them in your weekly reflections. We do not manually read user journals except where access is necessary for security, legal compliance, technical support you request, or service maintenance.

We never sell personal information, journal entries, or photographs. We do not share your memories with advertisers, display advertising based on your personal memories, or use your journals to train artificial intelligence models.

AI-assisted reflections

When you request an AI-generated weekly summary, the processing is limited to your requested content and is used to create that reflection for you. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete; review it before relying on it. It is intended only as a reflection and journaling assistance tool.

Service providers

We use the following providers to operate the App: Supabase (authentication, database, and storage); Google Sign-In (authentication); RevenueCat (subscription management); Google Play Billing (payment processing); Apple In-App Purchases (payment processing, if and when made available); and an AI provider only when AI summaries are requested. Each provider maintains its own privacy practices.

Security and retention

Data is transmitted through encrypted connections. Authentication is handled through Supabase Authentication and uploaded files are stored using Supabase Storage. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

You may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Upon deletion, we will permanently remove your personal information, journal entries, and uploaded files from active systems, subject to legal obligations and reasonable backup-retention periods.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the App develops. We will post the revised version with a new effective date.

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Weekly Mirror. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to them.

The App

Weekly Mirror is a private digital journaling service for preserving memories and creating AI-assisted weekly reflections. It is not a social media platform: there are no public profiles, public posts, or user-to-user browsing features. You retain ownership of your content. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, process, synchronize, and display it to provide the App to you.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for content submitted through your account. You must not use the App unlawfully, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or upload content that infringes another person’s rights.

Subscriptions and payments

Weekly Mirror may be used without a subscription, subject to feature limitations. Optional premium subscriptions unlock additional features and renew automatically unless cancelled. Payments and subscription management are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play, as applicable. We do not receive or store payment-card information. Cancellation and refund rights are governed by the relevant app store’s terms and policies.

Availability and disclaimers

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary to operate or improve the App. The App and AI-generated reflections are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Termination and governing law

You may stop using the App and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations of these Terms or to protect the App, users, or legal rights.
